Detroit Pershing, 6-2, Senior Accomplishments: Earned the Hal Schram Mr. Basketball Award and was a third-team McDonald’s All-American. Appling averaged 28 points, six rebounds and five assists per game in leading the Doughboys to the Detroit Public School League title. Committed to Michigan State.
