How does a school change conferences?
Do size or proximity determine what conference you’re in?
I am from Albany, NY and we have 2 fairly decent mid major teams, with one (Siena) on the rise. I think bringing that big conference atmosphere to a city where sports fans are somewhat apathetic would be great for the city. Siena can lose every game in conference play just as easily as De Paul, so why not make the big east more eastern?
i dont know the qualifications but no big conference would want Siena. The school is just to small. And even if they were good every year they wouldnt get in. Look at perennial mid-major powerhouses like Gonzaga, Kent St., and Creighton.
